Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. NASB
In the days and weeks following hip replacement surgery, I learned a different pace. The stillness of the morning hours the 1st few days was a time of being alone with my thoughts. My life was changing in many different ways.
From 50 plus hrs. per week at the factory. I went to having as a goal getting up and walking for 5 minutes and leg exercises twice a day. How would I fill my time? Psalms became a source of comfort and teaching again.
I waited patiently for the Lord and He heard my cry and met me in my need. He inclined to me and I felt completely at home in His presence.
Would you wait upon the Lord today and lift up the cry of your heart? Will you listen for His response and greet Him?
